The Triumphant Return of Sunshine

Well, for months and months, it has NOT been sunny in Philadelphia. Every Thursday night this summer, expecting heaping spoonfuls of laughter, I've tuned into FX only to find, once again, that It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was not on. I cried. I threw glasses at walls. I asked God when it would all end. And God answered. On the 13th Day of September, he created the third season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, perhaps one of the funniest shows to grace the airways. Ever.

Frank, Dee, Dennis, Charlie and Mac all made their way back to the bar last night in two very soon to be classic episodes..."Mac and Dee Find a Dumpster Baby" and "The Gang Gets Invincible." In the first one, not only do they find a dumpster baby, but before putting it back in the dumpster, they realize that there might be profit to be made by making it into a childhood star. Hilarity ensues as Frank and Charlie discover the treasures to be found in the dump and Dennis, in a ploy to seek revenge for being shot down as a yuppie by a bunch of hippies, infiltrates the hippies, chains an activist to a tree, then has sex with the activist's girlfriend.

In the second episode, they find out about try-outs for the Philadelphia Eagles and turn it into a competition. Things get strange when Frank and Charlie, who are tailgating the try-outs, drop acid.

So if you haven't watched this show, Thursday nights on FX at 10pm, you better get on it. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll contemplate suicide, then laugh hysterically all over again. Below, enjoy this scene from last season where, in order to get onto welfare assistance, Dennis and Dee attempt to become addicted to crack.
